CRIME CUT DOWN

Police officers should be the people we turn to in times of trouble, but are they really trustworthy?

The Standard Newspaper (07.03.07) highlights a positive case where four police officers, from the Kerugoya Police Station, who were suspected to have been in collaboration with some gangsters in the Kirinynaga and Embu districts have been sacked.
The officers were said to have been linked to several armed robberies and were hiring out their guns to thugs.
The four police officers are yet to be charged.

why didnt the OCS of kerugoya police station jail those rotten cops or press charges? talk of lackin common sense. maybe he is a rotten cop himself. michuki should show the same zeal n zest in having them arrested like he displayed when he sent hooded goons with guns burn newspapers!!

Sacking is not enough for these cops gone bad, they should also serve time for betraying the trust put on them by the public

you know what, this just goes on to show that our police force is so messed up! listen, and i agree with one of those who wrote in, Michuki should make sure that these cops are charged in court and make sure they're given a sentence they'll take to their graves. if he won't do anything, then ,...kwanza, what has the minister of justice been doing all this time? if the security man won't do anything, then the justice jamaa should have the morals to do something, ata kama it's to make sure the 4 hellions see the inside of a cell room for atleast ten years, before fresh charges are brought against them, who knows what other kind of unknown crimes they've committed. makes me mad!!!!

another thing, what were the ministers of security, immigration, justice, information, and even the president himself really thinking, surely, to let that bogus armenian character back into the country after all the mayhem they caused last time. how was he able to get past security at the airport, they should have their pofile at airport security computers reading,
name:"artur 'hood guy' margaryan/sargasyan.
profile: terrorist
recent act:possesion of stolen cars, burning of press materials, impersonation of police officer and last but not least, brandishing guns at airport and resisting arrest thereafter.
when:not too long ago, still fresh on country's mind.
where: in our own backyard, really daring!
terror alert: 'highly elevated'
...and then what should have been going thru their minds was, "we need to alert our highly acclaimed national security force, our esteemed justice department to prepare prosecution, our information geniuses to thank them and let them know the target has been apprehended, and finally get thru to the president to let him know that the situation has been successfully contained, the target is in custody, and the freedom of press and justice of the people of the great Republic of Kenya has been well served."

well,it should have happened, but obviously won't so..... was it really that difficult to just politely let him know he's no longer welcomed in the country and if he wants to get married he might as well do so in his own country where he most welcomed. has it occured to anyone that if he marries that woman, he might apply for kenyan citizenship and then it'll be woe unto us all?
